A 20-year seasoned veteran in entertainment, Troy Carter steers the career of artists and invests in next wave entrepreneurs, maintaining a keen eye on how both influence culture. Founded in 2010, Atom Factory has roots in music, media and technology, employing a staff of 30 individuals. Atom Factory manages the careers of artists including Meghan Trainor, Charlie Puth and Kamasi Washington, to name a few. Carter feeds his passion for culture and technology by investing in entrepreneurs, with a portfolio of early stage investments in 80+ startups – notable investments include Uber, Spotify, Lyft, Dropbox, Warby Parker, Social Cam (acquired by Autodesk), Songza (acquired by Google), Summly (acquired by Yahoo) and Misfit (acquired by Fossil). In 2015, Carter became a founding partner of Cross Culture VC. Carter is a guest shark for Season 7 of ABC’s hit prime-time show Shark Tank.
