William Freiberg is Chief Operating Officer at Mesosphere, where he leads worldwide enterprise sales, partnerships, and operations. While at Mesosphere, William has led the company to deals with Fortune 500 companies such as Verizon, Bloomberg, and Two Sigma. He’s built and established key partnerships with Cisco, Intel, IBM and ISVs. Prior to being appointed Chief Business Officer, William was Head of Strategic Development where he structured the Mesosphere’s Datacenter Operating System (DCOS) product pricing, packaging, and business model. He built and led the business operations team; which includes finance, accounting, legal, and recruiting. Earlier on in his career, William was Senior Associate at Gunderson Dettmer where he specialized in corporate formation and governance matters, venture capital financing transactions, and a variety of Merger and Acquisition transaction structures. William has held positions on the Waywire Networks advisory board, he was Founder and CEO of Tipping Basket an e-commerce business and he was a Merger and Acquisition Associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP where he focussed on the largest Leveraged Buyout in history (TXU) as well as the U.S. Treasury’s initial implementation of TARP funds to nine banks. He was a Analyst at Bank of New York Mellon where he divested the retail branch business unit to Citizens Bank divestitures and rolled out a company wide INEA financial reporting platform to replace Hyperion.
