Tengku Azmil served as Executive Director for Investments at Khazanah. Mr. Azmil served as first Chairman of the Board of Directors for Xeraya Capital Sdn Bhd. from December 2011 to March 2013. Prior to Khazanah, from August 2009 to September 2011, he served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia Airlines. He served as the Chief Financial Officer at Malaysian Airline System from December 2006 to August 2009. He also served as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Penerbangan Malaysia Berhad (PMB). He worked in the London and Hong Kong offices of PricewaterhouseCoopers. He serves as Member of the Board at Xeraya Capital Sdn Bhd. He is a Chartered Accountant, an Associate Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and also an Associate of the Association of Corporate Treasurers, United Kingdom. He graduated from the University of Cambridge with double first class honours in Economics.
