Scott Davidson is the chief operating officer (COO) at Alteryx and is responsible for building out the infrastructure that enables global scale and efficiency, including Corporate Development, Information Technology, Enterprise Applications and Human Resources. By aligning both people- and business-centered operations, Scott ensures that Alteryx associates are seamlessly integrated into the company’s culture and systems.
Scott brings 20 years of senior operational and financial leadership experience to Alteryx. Having held strategic roles at fast-growing software companies, Scott supports the execution on strategy for growth and innovation at Alteryx as the business continues to invest in talent, grow its user base and enter new markets. His strong background in working with data-centric companies and keen understanding of how data can be leveraged to solve real-world problems are instrumental in ensuring Alteryx is well-positioned for hyper growth and market leadership.
Prior to joining Alteryx, Scott served as the chief operating officer and chief financial officer (CFO) at Hortonworks, a public open source data platform company that he took public in 2014. As COO and CFO, he oversaw Finance, HR, IT, Corporate Development, Sales, Marketing and Professional Services. In 2018, he successfully engineered the $5.2 billion merger of Hortonworks into Cloudera. Prior to this, Scott was the CFO of Quest Software and held strategic financial roles at Citrix Systems.
Scott holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Miami.
