Matt Vail leads OpenAI’s Venture Capital Partnerships, working with top-tier venture firms to accelerate AI adoption across their portfolio companies. Previously, Matt led AWS’s startup partnerships across leading accelerators including Y Combinator and Stanford StartX, supporting early-stage companies as they scaled. Before AWS, Matt was the first sales and business development hire at YC/Sequoia-backed music tech startup Songkick, helping scale the company from $0 to $100M+, building and leading global go-to-market teams, and later serving as Chief of Staff, where he played a key role in guiding the company through its merger and successful exit to Warner Music Group.
