Kurt DelBene

Microsoft
Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Operations

As executive vice president of Corporate Strategy and Operations I lead the company’s cross-engineering and cross-business strategy, execution and planning initiatives as well as Microsoft’s IT and operations.
I’m responsible for both cross-engineering and cross-business strategy, execution and planning initiatives, with an emphasis on opportunities that span product and engineering boundaries. I rejoined Microsoft in April 2015 after helping President Obama make improvements to Healthcare.gov, the enrollment website for the Affordable Care Act, and after being a venture partner with Madrona Venture Group.
Between 2010-2013 I served as president of the Microsoft Office Division and was responsible for
driving Microsoft’s global productivity strategy for information workers. That including leading the
engineering and marketing functions for a wide range of productivity products and services, including
Office, Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint, Lyne, Project and Visio.
I joined Microsoft in 1992 and has served in several roles in Microsoft’s product development teams.
Prior to that was a management consultant with Mc Kinsey and Company, focusing on business strategy for technology companies and have also worked as a software developer and systems engineer for AT&T Bell Laboratories, working in graphics and imaging software and network switching systems.
