Jorge is a Reader in Artificial Medical Intelligence at King’s College London. He has been leading AMIGO, a research team building foundational models for high-volume multimodal clinical healthcare data via generative modelling. His team is responsible for several landmark methodological developments, such as the first scalable general-purpose 3D imaging segmentation architecture, the first high-resolution 3D generative model of multi-modality and multi-organ medical imaging data, and the only physics- and resolution-invariant generative model that enables harmonised data interpretation. Jorge is also one of the founding members, academic lead, and advisory board member for Project MONAI, a widely used (2M downloads) toolkit for healthcare AI. Jorge and his team have co-developed MONAI Core from its inception, and are the sole creators of MONAI Generative Models, a state-of-the-art GenAI toolkit for healthcare data.
