Jillian Ward leads Bloomberg’s reporters and editors covering Big Tech in the U.S. Previously, she was team leader and editor for the U.S. technology team, guiding coverage of computer hardware, software, internet and e-commerce companies, including Apple, Facebook, Intel, Microsoft, Google and Amazon.

Ward, who previously worked as an editor and team leader at Bloomberg News from 1997 to 2006, rejoined in January 2011. Before joining Bloomberg, she held various editorial positions at New Media magazine, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Denver Post and the Greeley Tribune. She holds an M.A. in journalism from University of Colorado and an undergraduate degree in communication from University of California at San Diego. Ward is based in Bloomberg’s San Francisco bureau.
