As Head of the Business Development and Strategy group, Jacopo Lenzi leads the Global Innovation Center’s investments, acquisitions and partnerships efforts. In this capacity, he is responsible for evaluating and executing on transactions that deliver talent, capabilities and businesses to Samsung that complement or accelerate the business units’ software and services initiatives, as well as identifying compelling early stage investment opportunities. Most recently, his team was responsible for the SmartThings and LoopPay acquisitions.
Before joining Samsung, Jacopo served as Vice President and Head of Mergers & Acquisitions and Strategic Partnerships at Walmart eCommerce and held a variety of roles at eBay, including in Corporate Development and Corporate Strategic Alliances.
Prior to that, he has worked in strategic consulting with McKinsey & Co. and investment banking at Lazard Freres & Co. He is a graduate of Columbia College and Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.
