Dave’s fingerprints are visible across the cybersecurity industry as a veteran from his (>26 years) work as a leader in consulting (Deloitte, ISS), enterprise products (Foundstone, CrowdStrike, Tenable), and consumer products (Norton). He was the first Chief Product Officer of CrowdStrike in 2013 and later, as CPO of Tenable, led the company through a successful IPO in 2018. As founder and CEO of Open Raven, Dave sold his pioneering DSPM company to Formstack and accepted a role as their CTO in 2024.

He started both the Security Voices (5 years, 60+ episodes) and Agentless cybersecurity podcasts. He’s currently on the Board of Directors at Inspectiv and the University of Michigan School of Information, where he holds a Bachelor’s degree (BBA, ‘96).
