Assia Grazioli-Venier is a venture capitalist and advisor to high-growth tech startups, entertainment companies and sports businesses. She has worked at the forefront of technological disruption for over 18yrs, from the first onset of mobile, to music streaming, subscription models, D2C commerce and beyond.
In 2016, Assia launched Muse Capital with her business partner Rachel Springate. Muse Capital is a seed-stage consumer fund that operates as a bridge between Silicon Valley, the brand world and entertainment industry. The fund’s mandate is such that they focus heavily on partnership-level business development efforts, bringing value to entrepreneurs by driving revenue and scaling their businesses. Their portfolio includes Motherly, Gloria Football, Catalyte, Beekeepers, Fazeclan, Mayvenn, Haute Hijab, Momentous and Clarity Money, sold to Goldman Sachs in 2018.
Appointed in 2012, Assia also sits on the board of directors of Italy’s legendary Juventus Football Club, where she is the first female and youngest board member to serve in such a role in the 120-year history of the club. Assia has served as member of the Control and Risk committee for 6 years, and on the Remuneration and Appointments committee for 3.
Prior to Muse Capital, Assia was also on the board of advisors of Northzone, one of Europe’s leading technology investment partnerships whose portfolio includes Spotify and iZettle, sold to PayPal in 2018. Prior to that, she was for several years a technology investment advisor to LAMSE, a holding company lead by Andrea Agnelli focused on private equity investments.
Assia sits on numerous committees & travels the world spearheading diversity in business and throughout venture ecosystem. She is co-chair of AllRaise LA and is an advisor to the Milken Institute.
Assia sits on the board of Impact46, and supports the Goleadoras foundation, driving female empowerment through the power of football/soccer.
Born in Rome and educated in the US, Assia is fluent in four languages and has lived in New York City, London, Milan and Stockholm. She currently lives in Los Angeles. (Source: Website)
