Overtime Sports
New York City
Overtime is sports for the next generation.
Founded in 2016 by entrepreneurs Dan Porter and Zack Weiner, Overtime was born out of the tectonic shifts in how Gen Z and young Millennials consume sports and entertainment. With a fresh voice and style, programming focuses on the culture of sports by taking fans into the lives and lifestyles of today’s athletes across basketball (men’s and women’s), football, soccer and gaming. Overtime content generates more than 1 billion video views each month across YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok and channels see industry-leading engagement. Going beyond the screen, Overtime translates into IRL experiences through a fan-fueled hand signal (“Throw up the O”) and verbal cue (“Shoutout Overtime”), as well as through eCommerce, and live events.
Overtime’s investors include Spark Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Sapphire Sport, Greycroft, NBA All-Star Kevin Durant and the late NBA Commissioner David Stern.
