Ahalogy is a data and software solution that makes it easier for marketers to act on changing customer interests. The company was founded in October 2012 as one of the first Pinterest marketing technology partners. The founders saw Pinterest as a unique media channel—part social, part search—in which the marketing actually adds value to the consumer experience. Over 100 million people use Pinterest to guide purchase decisions, making it an idea platform for marketers that develop useful content, such as recipes, beauty looks, parenting tips and travel ideas. Ahalogy developed a software platform to help brands take advantage of this opportunity and optimize their posts on Pinterest, and has signed on leading companies such as P&G, Kraft, Campbell’s, Nestle, Jo-ann, Kroger and Hallmark. Ahalogy continues to be the leading optimization technology for enterprise marketers on Pinterest. However over the past year the company has expanded to two additional products and software solutions to further improve clients’ impact: First, Muse™ is a new, stand-alone app that allows marketers to easily uncover and act on trends in their product categories. Unlike most social listening software, which only informs marketers what people are saying about their brand, Muse taps into data from Facebook, Pinterest, and Ahalogy’s own Influencer network to present category insights to help guide decisions and drive growth. Muse highlights both the highest-volume topics in your category, as well as surprising, emerging topics in a highly visual and inspirational interface. Marketers are using consumer data from Muse to improve results in a wide variety of creative decisions—from social ad placement to promotion planning to product development. Second, Brandables™ is a custom content and influencer marketing solution for branding and shopper marketing campaigns. Brandables was created by Ahalogy because of its clients’ desire to quickly take advantage of the category trends its software uncovers. The product is distinctive in three ways: (1) it starts with category trends insights unearthed from the Muse platform; (2) it taps into a proven, high-quality network of over 5,000 influencers that run Ahalogy software; and (3) Ahalogy optimization tools deliver guaranteed CPM/CPC on social channels (Pinterest & Facebook). Ahalogy is led by Bob Gilbreath, co-founder and CEO. Bob began his marketing career at P&G, where he launched new products such as Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and was named an Advertising Age top marketer. Following P&G, Bob became partner and chief marketing strategist at Bridge Worldwide, a digital agency that he later sold to WPP. Following the company sale, Bob helped create POSSIBLE, a leading global digital agency network within WPP, and served as its Chief Strategy Officer. Bob is author of The Next Evolution of Marketing: Connect with your Customers by Marketing with Meaning (McGraw-Hill, 2009).
